Fredrick Morris Lookout, Jr. was an Osage singer, and after his death the University was given a collection of 57 reel to reel tapes of various Native American Singers, conversations with native speakers, and dances.

Starting in 1978, the Department of Special Collections at McFarlin Library, the University of Tulsa, has produced a series of booklets and pamphlets under the rubric of Keepsakes.
